93 points. From somewhere up high on Mount Barker, or thereabouts. Romantic high country with biodynamics in full swing. Gentle hands in the winery. Did a double take in a blind line-up, the pinosity of this wine was marked. Sour cherry, gently spicy, but the dried herbs and bloody, meaty qualities eventually rise and rise. In the palate, again, this unusual silky glide. No doubt that prickly spice darts around and sandy tannins build through the finish of the wine, but there’s high drinkability here as suppleness yields to grip. Great personality here.
