NGERINGA Viognier 2008
HUON HOOKE Gourmet Traveller Wine, Jun/Jul 11 93 points (5 Stars) A richer, more powerful wine than the JE, with more overt oak and potential complexity. Subtle apricot fragrance embellished with cashew nut, and some less-derived creaminess. High acidity, then a driving palate which doesn’t rely on alcohol for its power.
CAMBELL MATTINSON The Wine Front, 28 Dec 09 The flavours are excellent. Stones and woodspice, ginger and nectarines. It tastes fresh and medium-rich, and in terms of flavour profile I reckon it's exactly right.
MAX ALLEN Future Makers, 2010 The Ngeringa Viognier is a wonderful wine, with stunning depth of texture and a heart of honey-dipped hazelnuts, reflecting both the careful viticulture and hands-off winemaking.
NICK STOCK Wine 100, Jan 10 93 Points. Sporting a good dose of snazzy oak for the moment, there's plenty of fruit to carry it off: orange zest and ripe apricots show spicy notes and airy fragrance. Ngeringa's trademark textural harmony is evident with a ball of fleshy apicot flavour holding elegantly through the finish.
